Elina Koivisto is Chief Growth Officer at Photoncycle. She is driven by turning ambitious energy technology into solutions people can actually use — working closely with the team to connect technical innovation with market needs.

You not only joined the company last year, but you also moved to Oslo. What inspired you to join Photoncycle?

What really inspired me was the scale of impact Photoncycle has the potential to make. The energy transition is one of the most important challenges of our time, and Photoncycle is tackling it in a very concrete and ambitious way.

On top of that, the people were a big deciding factor. It’s rare to find a team that combines strong financial understanding with deep technical expertise. That skill set, combined with everyone also being genuinely nice, is crucial to actually making things happen. All this made joining the company an easy decision for me.

Having worked for the company for just over one year, how has it been and what are you most excited about for the future?

Honestly, it’s not an exaggeration to say that it’s been great. Over the past year, we’ve achieved a lot. Personally, one of the highlights has been launching the product pre-order and starting to see real customer interest and feedback. The response has been extremely positive, which is both motivating and reassuring.

Looking ahead, I’m especially excited about eventually rolling out the product and starting to see the concrete impact it will have on customers’ everyday lives. Turning technology into real-world value is what truly drives me.

What is important to you when it comes to the people you work with?

First and foremost, it matters to me that people are appreciated for who they are. I really value working with highly skilled professionals who are also versatile and bring different perspectives to the table.
